Cases Disapproved: Permanent residency

Here are Applications that were not approved in Permanent residency

Case 1

As a painter, produced a large number of artwork and there was a request to donate artwork to a museum after construction was finished however residence status could not be recognized as being good (involved in illegal residence) and so was not approved.

 

Case 2

There was a request from an individual who was working at an educational organization who taught sons and daughters of foreigners, but the application was not approved as this activity alone was not recognized to be a contribution to society.

 

Case 3

There was an application from an individual who for about 1 year worked as a teacher in a high school and did volunteer activities like interpretation, etc. but the application was not approved as those activities alone did not contribute to society.

 

Case 4

An entrepreneur who started up his/her own business and undertook the management thereof but the investment amount and notably the profit and business results were not prominent and as such were not recognized to have contributed to the Japanese economy or industry, as such the application was not approved.

 

Case 5

While an individual doing research activities as a research student at a university receives instruction from professors and the like, research activities within the scope of normal student activities cannot be recognized as making contributions to research fields, as such applications cannot be approved.

 

Case 6

A person who is the equivalent of a section chief in an investment-related company and applies cannot be recognized for this type of work only as it does not contribute to the Japanese economy, and as there were no other forms of contributions the application was not approved.

 

Case 7

In the case a person who is in the equivalent position of a system development company, this type of application cannot be recognized because that activity alone does not contribute to the Japanese economy, and as there were no other forms of contributions the application was not approved.

 

Case 8

An individual who resided in Japan about 9 years, composed his/her own music and undertook musical recitals and while there was a request to have exchanges in the music field with Japan, this was not recognized as contributing to the culture and artistic fields of Japan as such the application was not approved.

 

Case 9

An individual who resided in Japan about 9 years, undertook performances with Japanese entertainers in his/her own country and applied to undertake the corporate exchange of events between Japan and his/her country, however such activities cannot be recognized as being a contribution to Japan and as such the application was not approved.

 

Case 10

After entry, the individual stayed in Japan as an international exchange student, then worked for 5 years as an assistant at one of Japan’s universities however while this activity contributed to improving the level of higher education in Japan the application was not approved.

 

Case 11

Entered Japan to work as a language teaching assistant and for 3 years worked as a language teaching assistant in a Japanese junior high school and later worked at a high school teaching English for about 4 years. But this is not the same level as someone who works at a Japanese university or equivalent institution as a full-time professor, assistant professor or lecturer who has contributed to improving the level of Japan’s higher education as such the application was not approved.
